This artwork was painted for the 78 tarot deck 78 tarot - mythical, but it stands on its own as a wonderful illustration of the all father Odin.

Here is a little info on why i chose Odin for the 78 tarot mythical deck.

"Odin is a complex god figure and could in theroy represent one of many aspects in tarot . He could be hanged man,
he could be the magician. He is a ruler and mystic, a trickster, a father. He is many things.

I However, have chosen to dipict an aspect of the god odin for my emperor card. I chose him Primarily as he is the is
known as the Allfather. He is the father of the Norse gods, and ruler of the Aesir.

He incorporates both fury and inspiration . He is masculine, battle hardened and strong. He is a war god but also very
intelligent. While odin as a god him self is a much more complex character than the emperor card dipicts, the traits
above are all things that I feel represent the emperor card well.

In my artwork, I have kept the red fire energy inspiration from the original rider wait emperor card as well as the
mountains high far in the backrgound. Our father odin is ready to take on the world he holds his spear Gungnir up
to the burning sky unleashing his power beyond. He rides over the mountains on his mighty steed Sleipnir.
His wolves Geri and Freki run by his side , and his ravens hugin and munin ( thought and memory) fly ahead, above
him and aid him in the battles to come."
